Creative writing software for whole story worlds

Your story knows more than your manuscript can hold.

Wryter’s Room gives the draft, the characters, the world, the continuity, the research, and the revision process one connected home—so you enter information once and use it everywhere.

The connected-story model

The feature isn’t the database. It’s what the database lets the story do.

1

Write

Draft a scene in the Processor.

2

Connect

Link characters, locations, facts, glossary terms, and project data.

3

Understand

Track continuity, knowledge, structure, analysis, and revision.

4

Reuse

Generate bibles, materials, exports, and future production workflows from the same story truth.

Volume I

From blank page to living story system.

Wryter’s Room is designed for novelists, screenwriters, playwrights, comic creators, audio storytellers, and writers whose work refuses to stay in one format.

Write in the same room as your story

Draft prose, screenplays, teleplays, stage work, comics, audio drama, and more while the surrounding story data stays connected.

Continuity that knows who knows what

Track objective story truth, audience reveals, character knowledge, contradictions, retcons, lies, and scene evidence.

Input once. Organize endlessly.

Characters, locations, lore, glossary terms, custom fields, scenes, and facts can be reused across the project instead of retyped into isolated documents.

AI with a memory structure

Research, analysis, autocorrect, thesaurus, metadata, and writing assistance run through Wryter’s Room’s controlled AI layer and connected project context.

Generate the bible from the work

Compile a Project Bible from the data already in Wryter’s Room—including characters, worldbuilding, continuity, knowledge, scene evidence, and custom fields.

Built for unpublished work

Workspace isolation, recoverable deletion, document snapshots, data export, and private-by-default story records are part of the product foundation.

Trust & Data

Unpublished work deserves specific answers.

Wryter’s Room is built around private story records, recoverable drafting, explicit exports, and an account-exit path. These are product behaviors enforced in the current Volume I architecture—not promises about future collaboration features.

Workspace-isolated story data

Creative records are scoped to the authenticated writer’s Workspace and protected by row-level access rules. The public marketing surface does not query private story entities.

Recovery before destruction

Writer-facing deletions go to recoverable Trash, and Documents keep immutable recovery snapshots. Restoring an older version first protects the current state with a recovery snapshot.

AI requests are gated and metered

AI features route through a server-side gateway that checks Workspace access and paid-feature entitlements before invoking the provider. Wryter’s Room’s own usage ledger records feature/status/model/usage metadata, not the full prompt or generated response.

Portable Workspace export

An authenticated writer can export a JSON copy of the active Workspace—including Projects, Documents, recovery versions, characters, worldbuilding, continuity, glossary data, editions, and analyses.

Billing stays server-side

Stripe Checkout, subscription sync, and billing management are handled by backend functions. Browser code does not receive the Stripe secret key, and paid feature access is resolved from server-controlled subscription records.

A complete account exit exists

Account deletion requires exact confirmation, cancels linked Stripe billing before local purge, deletes owned personal Workspace records, removes access/accounting records, and deletes the login last. Shared Workspace ownership blocks destructive deletion until ownership is resolved.

Important boundary: AI actions necessarily send the prompt/context selected for that action to the configured AI provider for processing. Wryter’s Room does not claim that provider-side retention or training policies are controlled by this app. Account deletion removes active app data, but provider-held or infrastructure backup copies may persist temporarily outside the active database.

Plans

A room that can grow with the work.

Volume I launches with Writer and Writer Pro for serious individual writers. There is no permanent free tier: new writers get a 14-day Writer Pro trial with no credit card required. Publishing Professional, Studio, and Enterprise remain roadmap editions.

Where the Room is going

From one writer’s universe to an entire writers’ room.

The same architecture that gives an individual writer a private Workspace is being designed to grow into shared Studio workspaces and, eventually, organization-scale story infrastructure with granular access and production administration.

Studio and Enterprise collaboration remain roadmap products. Volume I is focused on making the individual writing and story-intelligence experience exceptional first.
